Cycling belongs to everyone. I'm riding to make sure it does — raising $1,000 so that people who are blind or have low vision can experience what it feels like to move through this city at speed.
I'm riding the TD Five Boro Bike Tour with InTandem — a New York City non-profit that pairs sighted cyclists with visually impaired riders on tandem bikes, free of charge. My goal is to raise $1,000 to help more people who are blind or have low vision experience the freedom, speed, and joy of cycling through every borough.

InTandem is a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in New York City with one belief: cycling belongs to everyone. They pair sighted "captains" with visually impaired "stokers" on tandem bikes — giving people who are blind or have low vision the chance to ride free of charge across every borough of the city. No experience necessary. No cost. Just movement.

Weekly group rides through Central Park and across the five boroughs, plus a full season of event rides — museums, food tours, cultural routes. They also join all major NYC rides: TD Five Boro, NY Century, Tour de Bronx, Tour de Staten Island.
People who are blind, have low vision, or cannot ride independently. For many stokers — especially those who lost their sight later in life — tandem cycling returns something they thought was gone forever: the joy of speed and motion.
A spring program pairing sighted and vision-impaired teens, teaching leadership, teamwork, communication, and cycling skills together. The road is wider when you share it.
Sport is not a privilege.
It's a right.
Movement transformed my life — it gives me clarity, energy, and presence. I believe everyone deserves that. By riding with InTandem, I'm joining a community that refuses to leave anyone on the sideline. Help me reach the goal.
